The 'Cosy' Family

Cosy Baby Happy Mommy is a home-based babywearing business founded in Edmonton, Alberta in 2007 by mompreneur Erin Heard. As a babywearing educator and a mother of three young girls who were all and/or continue to be worn in a carrier daily, Erin has extensive firsthand experience with all varieties of carriers.

Erin first started babywearing upon the advice of a medical professional as a solution to ease the extreme colic suffered by her first daughter. She also found that wearing her baby allowed her to carry her daughter all day while still maintaining her busy lifestyle. However, Erin quickly found that she suffered migraines from the pinching in her neck and back when using a traditional store-bought carrier. She sought an alternative and started experimenting with soft-sided carriers including mei tais, pouch and ring slings, and wraps. The idea of offering affordable, high quality, fashionable, and comfortable baby carriers blossomed and became a small company.

All Cosy Baby Happy Mommy™ products are handcrafted with extra attention to comfort and detail, and all carriers are designed and sewn locally by Erin and two other Edmonton moms. As she did in the beginning, Erin continues to research and upgrade all carriers, and she continues her babywearing journey.
